The Four
9.30.2008

Cast: Raymond Lam, Ron Ng, Kenneth Ma, Sammul Chan, Kate Tsui, Selena Li, Dominic Lam etc;
Episodes: 24
Producer: Wong Kwok Fei (???)
Scriptwriter: Lam Ji Wa (???)

Sypnosis:

A drama adapted from the popular martial arts novel written by Wen Ruian about the four great constables, "Heartless", "Metal Hand", "Life Chaser" and "Cold Blood"

Hardhearted and smart MO CHING (Raymond Lam) became a crippled when he was young. Fortunately CHING has met CHU KOT CHING NGO (Dominic Lam Ka Wah), the Head of the Sheriff Bureau, and has learnt from him his unparalleled skills of using concealed weapons. CHU has once helped the Sung Emperor recover an invaluable piece of article that the empire has long lost. To reward CHU, the Emperor reopened the Sheriff Bureau. In addition to CHING, CHU has recruited ZEOI MING (Sammul Chan), a cunning swindler, TIT SAU (Kenneth Ma), an honest guy and the cold-blooded LANG HUYT (Ron Ng), and called them The Four.

The Sheriff Bureau has cracked many difficult cases under the leadership of CHU. After having gone through thick and thin with the others, CHING has become a lot less arrogant. He has fallen in love with SONG CHI YIN (Kate Tsui), a herb doctor, but she is only using him to sow dissension amongst The Four, furthermore deepens the hatred between him and SAU. The King of Qi CHIU CHEONG (Tsang Wai Kuen) and the treacherous minister CHOI KING (Lau Kong) are plotting to revolt against the Sung Dynasty. CHU risks his life to ruin their plan but by doing this, he is also driving the bond between him and The Four to the verge of disintegration.

My Thoughts:

Again, Kate plays the bad guy in this series, although I would love to see her turn good in the end, just like in Moonlight. The story itself seems interesting, I like these sorts of series, like, solving crime/mystery.
I think they should've mentioned Selena in the summary. Judging from the actual TVB site for The Four, there are a lot more photos of Selena than Kate. Also, check out the TVB website, there are comics there that talk a little about their personalities, although they're not funny... :O

A Simple Question
9.25.2008

Heya peoples! I'm working quiet fast on my summaries, my goal is to complete Heart of Fencing before these holidays and probably get a start on Sunshine Heartbeats. I want to stick to my plan, post at least once every two days.

Anyway, I have a question. It's a question regarding a song in ep. 26 of Moonlight Resonance. You know when Moses and Kate go swimming when Moses should've been doing his work with Tavia? Yeah, that song. I think it's very famous, I've heard it before and I'm looking for the name/singer... anybody help me? Help would be greatly appreciated...!

Anyway, MR is so sad... I still have like, ten eps. to go but I don't want it to end!

Last One Standing
9.22.2008

Cast: Roger Kwok, Kevin Cheng, Yoyo Mung, Elaine Yiu, Kiki Sheung, Ellesmere Choi, Evergreen Mak etc;
Episodes: 22
Producer: Wong Sum Wai
Scriptwriter: Choi Ting Ting

Sypnosis:

Time was served for a crime he did not commit
After ten years, can he discover the truth behind his father's murder?

CHEUNG SING HEI (Cheng Kevin) is accused of murdering his stepfather and he is sent to the prison for 10 years. After being discharged from the prison, HEI decides to take revenge on his best friend and cousin TONG LAP YIN (Kwok Chun On). YIN works as a notary. He is an honest and trust-worthy gentleman who never blames HEI for his short temper and unreasonable accusation. He spends a lot of time to investigate HEI's case and help him find the real murderer. HEI and YIN used to be best companions but they fall out eventually because of deceit and trickery. What makes the matter worse is - they have fallen in love with the same woman.
HEI loses all his confidence after being sent to the jail unjustly. LEI PUI KA (Mung Yo Yo), the reporter who visits him regularly during her voluntary services, manages to bring hope and joy to him again. Even though KA appreciates HEI's character, she is deeply in love with YIN and she agrees to marry him eventually. However, KA receives some anonymous letters continuously and these letters give her a great shock.

My thoughts:

Oooo... this series looks very nice. Hehe, anyway, the story seems very interesting but that's what I always say right? I can't wait to see Roger again and Yoyo, but Yoyo's looks very similiar to her role in FH II, are their personalities the same too? I think so, Yoyo is the best at tomboy roles. (:
I want to see how this one turns out! I wonder what the mystery letters say...?

Kate Tsui might not be included in Wrapup Feast
9.16.2008

Kate Tsui might not be included in Wrapup feast

Earlier there were reports claiming that while Kate Tsui was filming TV series " Beauty High Resolution" Christine Ng, Kingdom Yuen and Sharon Chan did not get on with her, which made her become isolated. A day ago, the cast finished filming the last few scenes for the series. During that time, Kate not only was chatting and laughing with them but put her arm on Kingdom's shoulder and gave a high five.

Although Kate's relationship had improved, when mentioning about the wrap up feast it seemed Kate was not included. Kingdom said "A staff worker said that they would miss me that's why I will meet up for a meal." (Did you invite Kate?) "This feast will be arranged by the staff. So I don't know if she has been." (Do you feel relieved now that the series has finished filming?) "Students who have a summer vacation will feel relieved, even artistes will when they have a summer vacation". (Will you mind working with Kate again?) "Of course I don't mind, TVB pay us wages. Most important is that I act well in my role in the storyline and I do well when I'm not acting.

The Relationship is not that bad

Kate Tsui did not know there was a wrap up feast, but if she knew she would try to get time to attend. Kate said "Today me and Kingdom have been chatting? We always do, our relationship is not as bad as what the magazine reports claimed." (This time you had alot of negative gossip while filming this series?) "It's the entertainment circle, if there isn't rumors there will be gossip, you can't help that. I will just read the magazine and that's it." Chris Lai stated that he was very happy filming this series and didn't feel there were any problems with Kate. He backs up Kate "I don't think there are any problems working with Kate, We have worked together in several TV series. If there were problems, I would have had problems during (Moonlight Resonance)".

My thoughts:

I so want to watch this series... along with The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (I think that is its english name) and Butterfly Lovers (Movie)... heh heh heh.
Anyway, I don't believe what the magazines say. None of it is ever true, well, I don't think... (: Anyway, I believe that Kate is a nice person and she wouldn't have any troubles making friends in the industry.

Fala Chen hosts for the first time but felt it wasn't good enough
9.09.2008

Fala Chen hosts for the first time but felt she didn't do well enough

Fala Chen hosted (Miss Macau Pageant 2008) with Wong Cho Lam and Amigo Chui yesterday, This was Fala's first time hosting a big show event. It was obvious that she appeared quite nervous. Also her Cantonese is not very good and the audience were often not clear of what was being said. Therefore this affected her performance. Afterwards Fala admited that she didn't do as well as she could "If I spoke in English or Mandarin then it would be better". (Do you want to get into hosting in your career?) "It's still a long way away, fortunately Wong Cho Lam was very quick in responding. I would like to Thank both of them."

My thoughts:

I feel so sorry for Fala, she is really trying her best to improve. After watching her performance in MR, I think she has matured a lot in her acting skills, her ability, everything. But maybe because I was so frustrated with her tryhard acting in previous shows, it was a relief to find out that she would be mute.
But her role has made me change my mind about her. Fala is now one of my favourite actresses, no matter what show she is in.
Of course Wong Cho Lam and Amigo would be fast at responding, they are born hosts. He he he, everytime Cho Lam's face would appear on the screen, I would burst out laughing, even if it wasn't funny.
Anyway, hope Fala can have more go's like this in the future, so she can gain more experience from it. (: And, there is a Miss. Macau? :O

9.06.2008

I haven't actually posted a picture of Best Selling Secrets in my "Currently Watching" section but I just finished it last night. Anyway, post contains spoilers but no screencaps so if you don't want to know what happens, please don't read!

- Lau Wah (Wong Cho Lam) and Ming Chu (Rebecca) have paired up. Lau Wah hasn't grown any taller but appears tall because he is wearing high heels (nobody can see!)

Kao Chun (Tsui Wing) two years ago moved to BeiJing to continue his own company. At the present time, Diana is going to a hotel to meet an english client. Dai En Lai's father is also there except Kao Chun's assistant is english and they don't know how to speak the language. After realising that the hotel she is in is actually the hotel that Kao Chun took Diana to when she was really drunk, she goes up to the room she slept in and knocked on the door. Inside, is Kao Chun.
Kao Chun a little earlier in the show signed a contract that was declaring he was breaking up with Diana except he will still look after her. He gave this contract to her father. He also changed his name because of his sucessful business, to Tony Ku.

In the end, Diana and Kao Chun get married. The whole cast is there except for Wong Ka Nam (Esther) and they celebrate the beginning of their new marriage. (:

During the time, CHU's younger brother suddenly takes away the ownership of the soccer team. CHU tries to take revenge by asking LAI to make the soccer team into a mess. CHAU is enraged and he discloses the secret relationship between CHU and LAI to everybody. All of a sudden, LAI's splendid tutorial career is coming to an end.

My thoughts:
I think this show will make me laugh, it can be guranteed when Booby's in it! Heh heh heh, anyway, the story seems nice. I will be totally giving this one a go as weel, even though I'm not that interested in soccer myself!
I haven't seen Sharon in a long time, I really like her. I haven't seen her done anything with Bobby before, a new twist! (:
The whole cast seems funny, Benz and Derek. Probably be in stitches after this!

Legend of The Demigods

Cast: Linda Chung, Benny Chan, Sunny Chan, Nancy Wu, Halina Tam etc;
Epsiodes: 20
Producer: Lee Tim Shing
Scriptwriter: Chan Ching Yee

Sypnosis:

A classic fairy story infused with the latest CGI technology
It depicts a fight amongst humans, the immortals and spirits!

Influenced by her mother, who has transformed into a magic herb, a cheerful young lady GWAI CHOI-CHI (Linda Chung) has become a demigod. As a child, SHEK KAM-DONG (Chan Ho Man, Benny) was constantly bullied. Wong Tai Sin (literal translation: Great Immortal Wong) pitied him and he has since become a man of unusual physical strength. AN HEI (Chan Kam Hung, Sunny) is always sleepy because of a curse that has put on his family. Once, his body has accidentally been rested upon by the God of Sword (Au Kam Tong, Stephen) and he has become the master of swordplay.
The three of them are good friends. They are determined to wipe out the Grand Wizard (Tam Siu Wan). With each of them having an extraordinary power, will they be able to make it and bring peace to human?

My thoughts:

OOO... this looks interesting much! Actually, it has already begun airing but I wasn't able to find out the TVB picture for it until today, so that's why I haven't been able to post it on!
Anyway, this story looks interesting, but it looks a little over-reacted to me, I will give this one a go...! This film was actually filmed two years ago, except that it has always been postponed, I wonder why? Many shows lately have actually been filmed ages ago, eg: The Master of TaiChi, The Seventh Day, etc;
