I think my new layout looks very cute, very cute indeed. I am amongst the work of putting everything together, the profile and affiliates, cbox etc; and will be back soon!

A reason for this drastic change is, because, my photoshop is stuffed, I installed this update and it came up with this window, asking the serial number.

DUDE? This computer used to be my uncle's, and therefore, he has all the codes, and pins.

So, yeah. I'm posting new series soon. These are a lot late, you know?

When Easterly Showers Fall On The Sunny West

Sypnosis:

Coming from a very humble background, POON MUK HING (Ma Tak Chung) nevertheless is content with his lot. He works for the POONs of Dongshan as driver. His true identity of the eldest son of the family comes to light when he saves POON CHEUK WAH (Wong Ho Yin), the young master, in an accident. CHONG FUNG YEE (Wang Ming Chun, Liza), the first daughter-in-law in the family, has to admit unwillingly the fact that when she married into the family she was already pregnant. His true identity revealed, HING changes his name to POON CHEUK HING according to the genealogical table of the clan. The mother and son have since been locked in a seesaw struggle.

YIP HEUNG CHING (Sheh Charmaine) came from an influential family in Xiguan. She starts selling congee on a boat for a living with her elder brother after their family has fallen into decline. CHING and WAH used to go out but YEE did all she could to separate them. Later, CHING opens a teahouse with the help and support of HING. Spontaneously, love blossoms between them. Not long afterwards, the Poon family runs into a lot of troubles. YEE and WAH are unable to handle them at all. HING seizes the opportunity to restore the prestige of the family. For the sake of the benefit of POONs, he is prepared to sacrifice his relationships with other family members, his love as well as his friends. By doing so, he also involves himself in a never-ending bloody battle of power.

My Thoughts:

After reading the summary, I finally understand why the chinese and english title for this series is so long! I think the title has a really great meaning, it incorporates both character's name in it!
This series really reminds me of Maiden's Vow. I think the TVB picture for this series is a lot better than the highlights one, because of Charmaine's eyes. You can scroll down if you wish to see what I mean!
The story seems very interesting, that's what I always say, don't I? I think I must suffer from writer's block or something.

All in all, I am watching because of Selena, I love her in The Four!

Sypnosis:

You may wish to be a famous socialite, you may wish to have fame and fortune,
But is that what you will really wish for in the end?

In PAK SIU-YAU (LEE SZE KEE, LOUISE)'s eyes, her three daughters are just as perfect as diamonds. She believes that the greatest blessing for a woman is to marry a wealthy man. To guarantee a better life for her daughters, she has started training the girls since they were young, hoping that they will marry into the richest families when they mature.

YAU's first daughter HONG NGA-YIN (SHIU MEI KI, MAGGIE) does not agree with her on her values. Yet when she sees that the man YIN is going out with is KO CHEUNG-SING (LAM, BOWIE), who is very well-off, she decides to let YIN go with her choice. YAU's second daughter HONG NGA-TUNG (LAI CHI, GIGI) is hopelessly romantic but does not seem to have much luck with men. To make it up to her, YAU seeks to match her up with HO CHIT-NAM (CHAN HO, MOSES), the son of Hong Kong's most powerful business tycoon HO FUNG (YUEH HUA). Being the youngest in the family, HONG NGA-SZ (CHOI SIU FUN, ADA) is well aware of YAU's concerns. Having recovered from divorce, SZ now decides to pin all her hopes on FUNG.

YAU's persistence pays off and her daughters have all found a wealthy husband. But money does not really bring them happiness and the sisters are gradually losing themselves in vanity.

My Thoughts:

Ok, so this is super late right, I'm guessing this is already showing everywhere? I for one, know that it is showing on TVB Jade, the Australian channel for TVB.
Well, 82 episodes? That's a lot, that's the only thing I am scared about. The fact that it is that long, I might get bored with it, but I won't I HOPE!
The story seems very interesting, it revolves around a lot of things, mainly family, love and wealth.
I am most looking forward to Moses since he is one of my favourite artists, and Linda because I want to see how she portrays her character!

Please be careful though, at the sales presentation and stuff, there were a lot of mature scenes!

Can't wait!

Wonder why I haven't been updating much?
I learnt the news today, wondering why my mum hadn't rented TVB for two weeks?

The place where we rent it has a big sign on the front, "FOR LEASE"

O: -le gasp-

How could they?! I mean, we still have some of their videos.

Originally, that shop was very close to where we live. It later moved to the CBD "Central Business District". Now, where?

I WANT TO KNOW!

I'm gonna force my mum to drive me there tomorrow, to see for myself! Hmph.

Gigi Officially Announces Retirement from Entertainment Industry

When Gigi attended the promotional function for her series, she unexpectedly announced retirement from the entertainment industry to focus on taking care of her brother who was seriously injured in a car accident last year. Gigi expressed that she has thought about this decision for a long time. She cried when saying these, as she is sad to be leaving behind her long acting career.

Gigi said that the new TVB series "The Gem of Life" will be the last of her work, a farewell series to the entertainment industry.

TVB grand production "Gem of Life" debuts in Hong Kong tonight. While promoting the series with her colleagues, Gigi suddenly announced that she will be retiring from the entertainment industry, sparking stunned responses among those present. Unable to hold back her tears, Gigi thanked TVB for supporting her for the past 20 years, "This is the last time I will accept an interview, after tonight, I will be starting a new life."

Gigi revealed that she has been planning to retire over the past two years and the people around her have supported her decision. Her brother's accident changed her views of fame drastically. "The most important thing in life is not money, but the time you spend with your family. I entered the industry when I was only a teenager and have been in it for 29 years. Having tried everything from singing, acting in movies and dramas, I am thankful and satisfied with what I have achieved today."

Gigi admitted that she is not getting married but may plan to do so in the future. "The most important thing to me at present is to spend time with my family, take care of my brother and perhaps go back to school to study." she said. When the host asked her whether she is considering a full retirement, Gigi replied, "I am not going to take on any more commercials, attend any more award ceremonies, release any more albums or film any more shows. This will be the last time I am doing an interview."

When taking pictures with the cast at the end of the event, Gigi thanked everyone once again for all the help and support they gave. She added, "I am happy that I was able to film such a great production like "Gem of Life", everything was filmed with care and the script is good. Thank you for all support TVB, I want to thank every production team who has worked with me before, every actor who has worked with me before and every single one of my fans. I am forever a TVB artist."

My Thoughts:

This is very sad, I wish Gigi the best of luck in looking after her brother's clinic.
I am not very sure about the whole incident with her brother, something to do with a car crash. I know this happened a few years ago though.
Her very last interview was very touching, I wish her the best!

Sonija Kwok and Roger Kwok will work together again next month for the TVB series (D.I.E 2). Yesterday both of them were at TVB City to film the Sales Presentation. This time they will work with a baby. The baby in the series is psychic and can help Roger Kwok solve crimes. Yuen Siu Yee who played a ghost in the previous series will be reincarnated and play a human.

Sonija Kwok indicated she will start to film the series next month. As for having many scenes with a baby, it was very fortunate that Roger Kwok who is used to taking care of his own baby was there to assist. She said "The baby is already very well behaved. In addition, Roger Kwok who is professional has been giving guidance about Baby Psychology while filming. Regardless whether the baby needs milk, he knows very clearly. That is why filming has been particularly successful".
Roger Kwok's other new series (Last One Standing) has become last weeks top rating series. The series will broadcast its final episode on Saturday. He hopes that it will have an even better result. The reporter asked if this had increased his confidence in winning the Best Male award? "It will depend on the audience votes, but this year competition is very competitive. The series (Moonlight Resonance) is very extraordinary".

When asked about hot favourite Raymond Lam being reported being late and playing game consoles while filming and affecting his chances of winning. The reporter laughed and asked if this will increase his confidence? Roger Kwok immediatley laughed and joked if it was real then he will buy more consoles for his colleagues. He said he sees Raymond Lam and Kevin Cheng receiving the TV King award. As for Moses Chan since he always says he doesn't need it, then he shouldn't be given it.

My Thoughts:

Heh heh heh, so they are filming a D.I.E 2, can't wait to watch it! But that's pretty cool, cause then his son will have visions too! I also like the fact that Siu Yee is going to be reincarnated! WOOT!
But I wonder how they are going to in-corporate the fact the Roger isn't dead... use the alternate ending? Hehe, that ending was pretty weird...

Hehe, Shirley is rumoured to play in D.I.E 2 as well, as Roger's cousin. Hope that is true!

Hello everybody!

Well, school has just started again for me, I'm actually quiet sad that the holiday's have ended, I don't believe I finished my goal very much (complete Heart of Fencing and get a move on with Sunshine Heartbeatz!) -.- I think I also didn't end up posting every two days, it stopped on the last Sunday.

Originally, I had something to post, when uploading the pictures, it didn't work, it failed... so I don't know. Hopefully I'll post it up later.The post about the highlights is up, please scroll down below!

School has gone so slow, its seemed like we have been there for ages when it's only been a week. Also, I'm kinda addicted to this game on Facebook so I haven't been concentrating much on blogging, just to let everybody know, I'm currently watching The Four and Your Class Or Mine now. Thought to make it clear...

Also, I'm not sure whether anyone actually reads this part of the blog, I hope they do. I'm kinda thinking of changing layouts, perhaps? Who knows.

TVB Highlights 2008 2ND Season

Moonlight Resonance, When A Dog Loves A Cat, Your Class Or Mine
Out of all the series on this page, I have only completed Moonlight. Moonlight is so gonna take out the award this year! We stopped during WADLAC because we found it too boring, not our type. We are also currently watching Your Class Or Mine which I'm finding really funny!

When Easterly Showers Fall On The Sunny West, Dressage to Win (AKA: Four Leaf Clover 3), Legend of the Demigods
OMG! REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO THESE SERIES! WESFOTSW, (such a long name...) I believe will be one of the anniversary series this year. It looks really good! The storyline has something to do with Liza not liking her son (Joe) loving Charmaine. There's also Selena Li in this one, I really like her too!
I also want to watch the other ones, but I think we will be skipping Demigods, and watching Dressage later!

The Gem of Life, The Greatness of a Hero, Last One Standing
What can I say? The greatly anticipated Anniversary series will be coming out after Demigods, I think. I think there will be a lot of "mature" scenes in this one, after watching the presentation clip. Well, I'm kinda scared that I will get bored, 80 EPS MAN! I hope not, I want to see all the Fa Dan's again!
I am also looking forward to Greatness of a Hero, because it has both Bernice and Leila in it! (Leila's at the back, in male clothing...?) There's also "Ma Ma/Lee Heung Kam" from Moonlight in this one. It has a very strong cast, probably something about the Imperial Palace.

Moonlight Resonance

I finished Moonlight yesterday, after a careful thought whether to watch it or not. As many of you know (I hope), that I didn't want Moonlight to end.
Moonlight and Heart of Greed both have to be one of the most memorable TVB series for me, the storyline was so intense, the actors so in character that I loved every single moment of it. My favourite pairing was of course, Moses and Tavia (please look at the banner) and I loved their moments together.

Actually, I would've wrote a more in depth conclusion for Moonlight but seeing as I'm so behind with the new series and I didn't write summaries for it, I may as well not do a conclusion. Sorry, I feel so lazy...

But I really loved Moonlight, like most of you would've too! Moonlight, is totally going to take the best series out this year!

Okay, my initial reaction was that I was very mad, taking it out on my friend on MSN. After reviewing the list again, I have calmed down a bit but I'm still quiet frustrated and angry at the nominees this year.
So, what am I mad for? Why is Tavia in MOST IMPROVED and BEST SUPPORTING? I'm quiet appauled at the decisions this year. Tavia should not be in most improved, I think she got that award a few years ago? And she isn't really a supporting character in Moonlight!

Well, everybody hopes that their idols will take out an award and I am no different. I hope Shirley will be nominated in another award. (:
